Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship at Missouri State University is a movement of college students dedicated to following Jesus, discipling each other, making lifelong friendships and changing the world.
Welcome to Chi Alpha at Missouri State University! First off, we are not a fraternity. We are a collection of students from Missouri State who have one basic thing in common: a passion to experience God and develop a deeper relationship with him! We encourage you to check us out! Chi Alpha (XA) actually means apostos Christos, or Christ’s ambassadors—and that is exactly what we strive to be at Missouri State.
WHAT DOES CHI ALPHA STAND FOR?
“We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God."- 2 Corinthians 5:20 ESV
Even though our name is Greek, we are not a fraternity or sorority. We believe that God desires to have every person be reconciled to Himself, and the way that happens is through relationship with Jesus Christ and the representation of His
people. We believe that when a person becomes a Christian, he or she becomes Christ’s ambassador – or christou apostoloi in Greek, which we shorten to the first letters “Chi” and “Alpha”, or XA. Our name is a constant reminder that each of us has a real part to play in this world.
