Retreats

Retreats are an opportunity to explore your faith in Jesus while connecting with other young adults away from the campus setting. People build solid friendships and begin journeys that last a lifetime. We have several retreats, and each is unique in location and atmosphere. You can read about each of them at their link. We would love to see everyone join us on these retreats. Check out the Events Page to see when they are and to find details about them. For more info send us a message from our Contact Page or talk to a staff member or a student leader at one of our weekly gatherings.
Fall Retreat is at the beginning of the school year, sometime around the last weekend of September or the first weekend of October. Our goal is to get every person who is part of Chi Alpha to come on this retreat. We will spend a weekend away at a camp with lots of fun activities, time to hang out with each other, and gatherings to worship God and learn. We want to build relationships with new people and spend time reconnecting with old friends through various fun activities and through connecting with God.

Winter Retreat is a regional Chi Alpha conference called “SALT”, which includes young adults from all over the Great Plains Area including: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Northern Michigan. We get together in January during the college semester break. The conference is designed to connect with God and friends and to develop personal leadership skills. It runs for four days, and there is plenty of time to hang out with people and relax before starting the spring semester.
Spring Retreat is our last retreat before the summer. It falls near the end of the spring semester, and it is focused on taking a break from the hectic pace of school to connect with God and friends in a relaxed atmosphere. It’s only one night, so it gives plenty of time to come back and get other things done.
