Staff

Andy is originally from New York and moved to Springfield to attend Central Bible College in 1999. Candice is originally from Arkansas and is finishing her Nursing degree. They have been working in the ministry for nearly five years and for the last two they have been part of Chi Alpha at Missouri State University. Andy became the Director of Chi Alpha at the Missouri State campus in 2009. They have enjoyed our time in college ministry. Andy always says that one of his gifts that the Lord has given him is the gift of “hanging out”, and Chi Alpha is the perfect fit for that gift.
 
 

Severin is originally from Nairobi, Kenya and Kristina is from Branson, Missouri. They met at MSU when they were both students involved with Chi Alpha and got married in 2003. Shortly after that, they joined the Chi Alpha staff team at Missouri State. Their daughter, Imani (which means “faith” in Swahili), was born on November 3, 2007 and is truly a delight! Their son, Joshua, was born on May 27, 2009 and adds a lot of joy to their family!
 
 

Kristine (affectionately know at “Mrytle”) is originally from Iowa and grew up on a corn farm. She became involved in Chi Alpha while studying accounting at Iowa State University. After working in the accounting profession, Kristine started working with Chi Alpha in Fall 2007 and has been at Missouri State since fall 2010. Kristine loves helping students grow in their walk with Christ and watching God change them.
 
 

Jesse, who was raised in Kansas, spent his senior year of high school in Germany. During that year, he decided to fully commit to life with Christ. Jesse got involved with Chi Alpha on his first day at the University of Minnesota Duluth, and was part of the group throughout college. After graduating, he joined the Chi Alpha staff for two years at UMD. In 2008, he felt called to attend seminary and selected the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, where he is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree. He now works with Chi Alpha at Missouri State University.
 
 

While coming from opposite regions of the country, Justin (from Syracuse, New York) and Krista (from Salt Lake City, Utah) met in Springfield while attending college. They were married July 25 2009 and have settled into a cozy duplex not far from the MSU campus. Justin works for the General Council of the Assemblies of God as a member of the Web Development team. Krista is actively pursuing her Masters of Arts in Religious Studies at MSU and serving as a Graduate Assistant in the department. Together they share a love of sports, music, and God that guides their passion for campus ministry.
 
 

Brett is originally from Blue Springs, Missouri and became very involved with Missouri State Chi Alpha as a student. He graduated in December 2010 with a degree in Marketing and is currently pursuing his Masters of Business Administration at Missouri State University. Through his passions of worship and creative media, Brett’s goal is to see people to come to know a real-authentic relationship with God.
